The Arizona Art Alliance, in conjunction with the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association (AzVMA), marked the 250th Anniversary of Veterinary Medicine, worldwide, with a month-long celebration. In March, the AZ Art Alliance and the AzVMA sponsored a statewide art contest featuring 2 & 3D art illustrating the human/animal bond, the Faces of Veterinary Medicine, discoveries in veterinary medicine from the past 250 years, and the crucial roles veterinarians play in society to protect public health. The AzVMA awarded $2011 in cash prizes. The prizes were awarded to the winners of Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, Merits and Greeting Card Awards.
