All workshops and classes listed below are held at: KAREN BUDAN (bio) Karen Budan is a national award winning pastel artist who holds signature status in the Pastel Society of America as well as the Arizona Pastel Artists Association. Although she paints a wide variety of subjects she is known for her still life paintings. This class will be focused on the painting with the exciting and versatile medium of soft pastel. The class will begin with a sharing by participants of their experience with pastel and individual goals or objectives for the workshop. Using this information the class sessions will be customized to support participants in achieving their objectives. Emphasis on learning all the basics of soy wax techniques, this workshop is packed with demonstrations and hands on experience. Bring your own drawing of a landscape for silk size 15" x 15." Drawings transfer best when using Reynolds Freezer paper; have design drawn using a Sharpe marker on the non-shiny side of the paper.
