THE
ARIZONA ART ALLIANCE
presented its
9th
Annual Spring
Fine Art Show & Sale
"Enriching
Life Through Art"
The greatest,
most eclectic, display of an estimated 1,200 pieces,
from flat art hung by over 300 artists, qualified by
professional art jurists, to sculpture, pottery,
glassware and jewelry.
Demo artists
performed all during the 3-day show. Many
observers even tried their own hand at applying the
pencil, chalk or paint.
In addition
to promoting these fine artists and fine arts for
Arizona, your purchases supported five (5) excellent
Community Outreach programs; from special-education art
classes for challenged children, to our Senior,
Alzheimer citizens yearning for that something
"special", to incarcerated youth in our Arizona Juvenile
Corrections facilities - looking for a way to make
something POSITIVE of their lives.
THANK YOU ALL,
for coming, and helping us
by
"Enriching Life Through Art"
throughout Arizona!
Our featured
artist for this show was Debra Jones, of the Mesa Art League.
Selections were chosen by
independent judges, for first-to-third prizes;
President's Award, Directors' Award and Best of Show, as
well as Merit Awards for each medium.

Arizona Commission
on the Arts
Artist Projects
is a program to support individual artists
in all disciplines for project-related costs that allow the artist(s)
increased time to research and develop ideas or new works. The specific
definition of eligible projects is purposely left flexible to respond to
artists' ideas, dreams and needs. Ideas for projects might include, but
are not limited to, projects that stretch the artist's work, seek to
advance an art form or involve interdisciplinary collaborations with
other artists or non-artists. Applicants must propose a project or
phase of a project that can be realized with the requested budget and
completed within the proposed timeline. Funds may not be used for
costs related to academic research or formal study toward an academic or
professional degree, or expenses incurred n the presentation of final
work such as self-publishing, catalogs published by the artist(s),
exhibition expenses and self-presenting. This program is not meant
to support extended periods of study, educational projects or
documentation of existing art projects. Go to
http://www.azarts.gov/aguide/artist_projects.htm
for more information and application.
